Catherine Louise Eberle Annan
October 5, 1918 - May 12, 2017

(05/13/17 Insider Obituary Archives) - Catherine Louise Eberle Annan, daughter of Roy Eberle and Teressa Rouse Eberle, was born on October 5, 1918 at Coin, Iowa, and passed away on May 12, 2017. She was 98 years old.

She grew up in Northboro and Coin and graduated from Coin High School in 1936. While in high school, she played basketball, sang in the glee club, and played trumpet in the band. She was a good typist and won a medal in state competition. Encouraged by her teachers and her own interests, she attended Pratt-Gard business school in St. Joseph, MO.

She married Weldon Wayne Annan on April 6, 1940, at Clarinda, IA. Louise worked for Henry Fields Nursery and Mays Seed Company as a typist. She worked at Kitchen Klatter for 25 years and retired in 1984 as a co-office manager. During the 70's, Louise and her husband, Wayne, traveled extensively in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, South America, Cuba, Greece, the Holy Land, and Hawaii. For 15 Years, they wintered in Yuma, AZ.

Louise loved to read, garden with flowers, and golf with her husband. Louise and Wayne loved their grandchildren and attended their sporting events , as well as, traveling to confirmations, graduations, and weddings. She was active in Garden Club, BPW, and Senior Citizen's Club. In later years, she loved to play cards and board games with her friends. She was a member of the Congregational Church.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, her brother Walter Eberle, and her sister Geraldine Haworth.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Dave) Bye of Plainview, TX, a son, Gary (Shirley) of Apache Junction, AZ, a sister, Alice Marie Jones of Ames, IA, two sisters-in-law, Elouise Eberle of Worland WY, and Chrystal Johnson of Waverly, NE. There are five beloved grandchildren -Angie (Dave) Rowley, Mickey (Dena) Bye, Lisa (Marc) Nunley, Dan (Cindy) Annan, and Chris (Amy) Annan. Also, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held later at Polsey Cemetery, Yorktown, IA, and will be announced later.
