Concepcion "Connie" Quintanilla
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 15, 2017

(06/13/17 Insider Obituary Archives) - Concepcion "Connie" Quintanilla, 51, of Plainview, walked peacefully into her Savior's Arms on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in the Lemons Memorial Chapel.

Connie was born on December 8, 1965 in Nazas, Durango, Mexico to Alberto Maciel Silva and Sara Galindo. She married Ruben Quintanilla in April 1991 in Plainview.

Connie was a loving, big hearted person. She always put others and their needs before her own. She and her family have attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for many years. Her church family and the Plainview community meant so much to her. Connie had such a strong faith and loved serving others through the Church. Connie adored her daughter and was a dedicated supporter of her during her many volleyball games. She had a profound sense of humor and she brought so much joy to others. She was very close to all her family, and she always looked forward to her visits with them. They may have been far from each other in distance, but they were always only a heartbeat away. Although Connie is no longer here with us, she will forever bless our lives because of the love she shared and the memories we will carry in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alberto Maciel Silva; her infant son, Ruben Quintanilla, Jr. and her beloved niece, Vanesa Buendía.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Sara Galindo Molina; her beloved husband of over 26 years, Ruben of the home; one daughter, Guadalupe "Lupita" Quintanilla, of the home; four sisters, San Juana Maciel-Galindo; Candelaria Maciel-Galindo, Rosa Maria Maciel-Galindo and Maria Guadalupe Maciel-Galindo; four brothers, Francisco Javier Maciel-Galindo, Nicolas Maciel-Galindo, Antonio Maciel-Galindo and Martin Maciel-Galindo. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Connie's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone from Church and the Community, Family and Friends: "Whether you came by to pray, visit, bring a meal, offer financial support or a shoulder to cry on, you made a difference in Connie's life and in ours. We are eternally grateful and your kindnesses will never be forgotten."
