All Who Contributed to the 4th of July Celebration

(07/25/17 WBI smw) - The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone that participated and helped with the 4th of July Celebration. Many thanks to the donors that donated for the firework show. Without you, we would not have had another spectacular firework display for the community! We would also like to thank Shane and Kimberley Rowell for a donation of fireworks and for being our vendor for the fireworks. We had a total of 26 booths this year. That is an amazing turnout! We hope that each of y'all will come back next year. Each year we do a raffle for a boy and girl bike. These bikes are provided by Vista Bank and Bill Ayres Landscaping. Thank you for continuing to do this! Ray and Barbara Lee made a very generous donation, as they do for everything. We appreciate everything that y’all have done for us this year and throughout the years. Our emcee was Jackie King. He has always done an outstanding job announcing our parade! Our wonderful mayor, WH Johnson led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Richard Castillo and Dick Shaver did the honor of raising the flag during the Star-Spangled Banner. The Star-Spangled Banner was sung by Peggy Johnson, Evelyn Jaime, and Kathlyn Davis. We had a couple of setbacks, but we would like to thank Randy Faith for letting us utilize his car for the Grand Marshall, Wally Stewart. We would like to thank Wally Stewart for accepting our invitation as Grand Marshall. Each year, our parade is led by our public servants. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Fire Department, Police Department, EMS Department, and Sheriff's Deputy for leading our procession down Main Street. Of course, we cannot have a parade without the many entries throughout the various categories. We hope that you will come back next year, and bring your friends to make our parade bigger and better! And last, but certainly not least, many, many thanks to the City of Hale Center for making our park look beautiful for such festivities. Our city employees have worked mercilessly to get the park and around City Hall looking great! Without each and every one of these individuals and groups, we could not have had a wonderful family event. We look forward to next year! Tell your friends and family, so they can be here next year!
