Bonnie Faye Nichols
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018

(04/22/18 Insider Obituary Archives) - Bonnie Faye Nichols was born on September 10, 1930, to Jack and Ethel (Brown) Rogers in New Moore, Lynn County, Texas. Bonnie graduated from New Home High School, attended Lubbock Business College, and was a licensed beautician. She owned Exect Pawn Shop for many years. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church since 1995. Bonnie enjoyed doing volunteer work in nursing homes, retirement homes and many other places. She loved singing gospel music with various groups over the years, and with her husband Robert, or just alone! Bonnie loved people and had many friends. Her talents were many including cooking and quilting. However, Bonnie’s greatest joy was being Granny! There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her grandchildren!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Robert Hawkins; her eldest son; and her eight siblings, Bob, Kenneth, Nell, Cybil, Margie, Maxine, Jackie, and C.L.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Ramona Dever of Austin; two sons, Stacy Nichols and wife Terri of Shallowater, and Tracy Nichols and wife Debbie of Lubbock; grandchildren, Robert Dever, Lourie Dever, Cory Nichols, Christopher Nichols, William Pollard, Calli Middlebrook and husband Patrick, Carri Nichols, and Weston Nichols; and great grandchildren, Chelsie and Preston.

Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd St in Lubbock. Funeral Services will be at 10 am Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the same location.
